Biography:

Hello! I am a Clinical Behavioral Counselor pursuing licensure as a Professional Counselor, specializing in behavioral, emotional, and mental challenges across various healthcare settings. Currently, I serve as a Behavioral Mental Health Intern Specialist in primary care at UCSF General Hospital, working in a family clinic. Previously, I worked as a school counselor at Notre Dame High School, where I developed a unique program that combined pickleball play therapy with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for adolescents. My experience also includes leading psycho-educational groups, focusing on anger management, self-esteem, mindfulness, art and play therapy. Since 2014, I have been a health coach, supporting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and age groups in overcoming a wide range of health challenges.

I have always been fascinated by neuroscience, social relationships, cultural differences, and the impact of substances and environmental stressors on hormonal function and mental health. My education in Health Psychology, combined with my rich immigrant experiences, has shaped my holistic approach to health. My goal in therapy is to support clients and collaboratively find interventions that they feel most comfortable with. I take into account a wide range of factors that influence a client's well-being, from their nutritional habits and coping mechanisms to their communication skills. I believe that by uncovering and addressing underlying issues—critical and often hidden pieces of the puzzle—we can truly heal and empower the whole person.

Personal:

I love international travel and multicultural experiences. I live what I teach, am mindfully active, and play competitive pickleball. I also enjoy good food and spending time with those I care about, including my Border Collie, Maggie. :)
